Mariela Gălățanu, currently in her fourth year of Law studies at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, exemplifies a profound commitment to academic research and juridical writing, cultivating a broad yet coherent expertise across real estate law, commercial law, consumer protection, arbitration, European business law, as well as financial and tax law. Her intellectual endeavor has been formally acknowledged through the distinction of First Prize conferred by the Romanian Association of Business Law for her paper “The Role of Insurance Guarantee Schemes in the Consumers’ Protection in the European Union”, presented at the scientific competition “Perspectives of European Business Law.” Through her active participation in scientific forums, academic competitions, and research initiatives, she has refined an aptitude for conceptual systematization, comparative evaluation, and precise juridical articulation.

Arina Timofti
Secretary
Arina Timofti is a sophomore at the Faculty of Law and a junuor at the Faculty of Finance and Banking. During her university years, she has combined her interests in the legal and economic fields with a curiosity for new technologies, participating in competitions such as “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the European Financial-Banking Sector.” Guided by perseverance and intellectual curiosity, Arina is steadily shaping her academic path, with a particular passion for scientific research and its role in addressing contemporary challenges.

Sebasitan-Andrei Cofas

Sebastian Cofas is a Master’s student with a strong passion for scientific research. His dedication to academic inquiry is evidenced by his role as co-author of notable articles such as “The Incidence of the Criminal Nature of the Deepfake Phenomenon – the New Form of the Perfect Heist?” and “The Path to Convergence: Reconfiguring European Legislation in Light of Technological Innovations. The Use of Blockchain Technology in the Banking Sector.” Sebastian’s work reflects a keen interest in the intersections of law and technology, where he explores the legal implications of emerging technological phenomena and its intersection with the legal field.
In addition to his research and writing, Sebastian is an active participant in workshops and scientific events organized by the Faculty. His engagement in these activities demonstrates his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
